32 Degrees Celcius

The HEAT! Is killing me. Actually the humidity. Ran this morning and the last (as usual my honest-to-goodness luck ensured that the sun was in retreat just as I decide its time to try to return my pigmentation to its nice natural tan). Yet was feeling real fatigued after only several km. Still very unused to the choking humidity ... along East Coast Park this morning I heard several old guys mentioning how the weather today was very "fine and cool" ... oh well I'm really in for it when the sun decides to make an appearence.
Well on another note ... have been making small steps toward the ULTIMATE goal - to have every single worthwhile dish in Singapore - so far have covered
1. Soup Kambeng @ ABC Coffee Shop in Joo Chiat
2. Wanton Mee @ Kampong Arang
3. Longtong @ Marine Terrace
4. Thai Laksa & Green Curry @ Thai Express (Siglap)
Yeap this is rather puny really, the rest of the returnees have prob managed to wallop half of Singapore already ... several reasons ... firstly its too hot so my instincts tell me to stay in when the sun blazing in the sky so I'm left with only the mornings and evenings ... secondly my good old buddies conveniently leave for Mt. Kinabalu JUST as I return ... excellent! Yeap other buddies (hint: Leowy and Gore) are sick of local food and prefer Western ... arghhh but I've had SIX MONTHS of that!!!!
Oh and I think that 2 mths at AF is not enought to while away my boredom. I need a job. So I think I'll be looking for smth part-time (cos I prefer flexible hours never mind the pay). Or mebbe do some volunteer work.
One more thing to add ... Yirong and I returned from Heathrow with *gasp* 100 kg of luggage. That's 50 kg each (less hand luggage) ... phew I still can't believe we managed to get through! Lotsa fast talking, my dad's frequent flyer card and a very nice SIA counter guy were crucial! Otherwise excess baggage charge would have amounted to something like 1000 pds! Dats insane isn't it? We could buy a few more tickets for that amount!
Home: Very simple. Its just good to see everyone again! Its like I'd never even left! (Save the condition of the living room ... since I'm no longer there to impose order ... the place has stagnated into CHAOS)
