Impossibility Theorem
Arrow's Impossibility Theorem states that there exists no mechanism for aggregating the preferences of rational individuals into a coherent group preference that simultaneously satisfies the following four reasonable conditions:
(i) Universal Domain
(ii) Pareto Optimality
(iii) Independence of Irrelevant Alternatives
(iv) Non-dictatorship
Justin's Impossibility Theorem states that there exist no mechanism for allowing a final year BSc Government and Economics student to simultaneously accomplish the following four objectives given the limits of a 24hr day:
(i) Core readings
(ii) Essays and Weekly Assignments
(iii) Complete Job Applications (aka JABS)
(iv) Keep fit
