MoguPig and Ze Album of Happy Memories

Ze Album of Happy Memories.
I'm suddenly reminded of
... the times together, the good times (and the stormy ones ;p).
... the jokes, the smiles and the laughter (the scoldings also ;p)
... the wonderful places we've been (but more importantly ze wonderful company!)
... MoguPig, MoguStar, Ludwig and Sparkie (even chickenhead and gay! ;p)
... the times we've ended up lost and hor lan-ded (but always managing to find our way back!)
... the suckie buffets we've had and the crazy dinner conversations!
... the loonie faces (and the angry air-stewardess ;))
... the right choice I made - twice. ;p

Emphasizing Optimism

Even as the holiday season approaches I seem to feel more harried than ever. As opposed to the panic gripping me during the end-of-term period however, I feel more purposeful now. My dad's gonna talk to some friends regarding the consulting scene in Singapore. I've finally finished one application and am in the process of rolling out two more. I think I've got the right balance this hols though ... I'm working a few hours on my applications each day and spend the rest of the day meeting friends, reading or running my numerous errands. Ah well hopefully it all comes down well. Once again I'm reminded that we should just give out best, pray for guidance and He will show us the right path. I don't particularly know which area I'd really like to begin my career in but I think the choices are slowly being whittled down and a few select options seem more attractive each day.
On another tone ... its good to be back even the weather, breezy and cloudy is saving me from the worst of the humidity. JC gathering at Daf's place (mansion I should say) where the girls went foto-nuts (I'm a little fanatic myself sometimes but these girls bring it to a whole new level!). Still the food was good, the chat was plain ass crappy and joker as usual ;p This was followed by a visit to the much-hyped MOS in Singapore (actually preceded by an hour long wait) which although very large and posh seemed to lack some of that critical ingredient necessary for a good party - great music and an intense atmosphere. Possibly the size of the place had to do with it because the crowd was dispersed into so many different rooms over two levels. Ah well anyway I still liked the company and we had unexpected friends in the form of Victor and Ben (who came to Singapore w/o telling me! *Offended*). Just possibly I'll be making another stop at the place tonight and hopefully the clubbing will be better! (",)
Can feel my hols zipping by already ... soon I'm gonna be back in sub-zero temperatures. blast!

Silver Bells!

Finally have a chance to blog ... its been pretty hectic the last day or so with all the rushing between the airport, home, errands and Krispe Kremes. But the deeds are done (albeit with an extended 15 hr flight due to a fuel stopover in Frankfurt - as one says it can only happen to me! haha)

Val D'Isere, French Alps.
Almost certainly one of the very best trips I've has so far. The company was great!!! The food was oomphalicious!!! The people we met were nutty (Stormy), cool (Coco) and eccentric (Eduardo)!!! The skiing was really just an Atom Bomb! Shux ... withdrawal symptoms now ...
My largest travel group so far (excluding school trips) - Nolly, Wee Yang, her cousins Sean and Zhong Han and brother Luke, Wilf, Cass, Vet, Myself and Sarah (Bera!) and Grace.
Little thoughts about the my travel buddies:
Joke-girl of the trip, Grace - the missing passport girl, the "skiing while eating" feeling girl, the "yoghurt boxes" as souvenior girl and the "think I can ski down the black slope" girl
Joke guy of the trip, Zhonghan: racing up ramps and jumps, making crazy jokes and being a bum, walking around in a t-shirt in the freezing cold (but complaining!), the snow-dog boy
Sarah Bera, the food-photographer, the "wear one t-shirt for the entire trip girl", the bravest girl I have ever met haha ;p, the Coco-lover
Wilf and Cass, our room mates, uncle and auntie haha, the former a DAMN PRO skiier, route planner, the "memorize every-card-man", the man with the BIG camera; the latter, the amah-bag girl, the one who saved my ass with her moisturizer and contact lens solution, the girl who crashed into Moo
Nolly and Yang, long-suffering father and mother to the little family haha; the ski-backwards man and falling-down lady (oops!)
Bug-eyed girl, always falling off the button lift, the dear birthday girl ;p, the one who doesn't like the heights but wants to ski, the girl who received a ton of bruises, the snow-angel!
Moi? The tissue-recycling guy, the plastic-bag-in-the-shoe-guy (;p), the making-faces-till-you-get-scolded-by-the-air-stewardess-guy, the camera-crazy, the snow-man guy (yeap you'll see the snow man later!!!), the memory-deficient bridge player!

Val D'Isere Theme Song

Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas day

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks
Dressed in holiday style
In the air
There's a feeling of Christmas

Children laughing
People passing
Meeting smile after smile
And on ev'ry street corner you'll hear

Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Soon it will be Christmas day

uploading fotos allows me to relieve some pent -up stress (my favourite yoghurt - 7 tubs a week!)

another irrelevant post! as u can see ... i'm really losing it here ... (that's my new phone on the left ... never thought i'd see the day i'd get a samsung phone actually hoho)

Bloody Internships

Now that I can't put it off any longer ... I'm starting to feel the pinch, the pain of not having sent out the bloody crappy internships earlier. Now I even have to worry abt an internship back home in SGP. Being intrinsically short-sighted, you find that you are able to enjoy moments in life without having to worry too much (i.e. happy go lucky); but when events catch up to you and you find yourse;f doubly stressed. No choice now, no looking back, only forward. Firstly I need to get my thoughts settled. I need to decide. Then I need to research more and act - also get my Dad to ahem HELP if possible (yesh the sad fact of life is that influence ALWAYS helps - hopefully he's got smth I can use). Then I have to walk resolutely forward no matter the outcome. But before all that, I need to pray and gather strength, direction and calm.

Every Summer Sun, Every Winter Evening, Every Spring To Come, Every Autumn Evening ...

Wooh! Finished the final assignment of the year and now I feel remarkably ... FREE. Bored even haha. But at this juncture bored is better than harried and hectic. Today like most Tuesdays was errand day - tried to copy some GV notes (stupid slacker GV dept was closed at only 1540), good run at the gym, changed Euros at Tottenham Court Rd, Sainsburys shopping, phone unlocking ... Yup thats life in UK I realized ... work and more hw punctuated by many bits of errands ... heh no thats over-generalization - we have lotsa fun too. Yet in UK we gotta do many more things ourselves like cooking, grocery shopping, household shopping etc.
Oh one prickly event just 20 min ago. I mean when you're abt the only person monitoring levels of - lets just call it - equipment in a certain location you'd appreciate it if people just appreciated it and sometimes chipped in. But interestingly what I received today was an ultra-displeased and almost condescending tone from one of the members of the institution over one piece of the equipment that was not stored according to the person's liking; followed by a lot of door slamming. Sheesh. Not only frustrating but infuriating actually. *self-censor*
I think I'm slowly getting back into shape ... gonna hammer myself into some semblance of fitness this hols ... in addition to doing internship aps (sigh) ... revising the term's stuff (sighx2)and meeting the buds.

--------Intermission--------

Just returned from helping Ben with wad looks like delicious deep fried chicken drumsticks and having to cycle out back to Sainsburys to buy rice and oil due to our diminished supply! Yum! Starving - as is so often the case in Winter when I have to eat seven times a day!

Only take the time
from the helter skelter
every day you find
everything's in kilter
you don't need a reason
let the day go on and on

Every summer sun
every winter evening
every spring to come
every autumn leaving
you don't need a reason
let it all go on and on

the best oracle of life hahaha

Mono

Tuesday was 'Chinois Chinois' at Metra Club down in Leicester Square. All in all a great party ... place was posh ... friends and company were great ... the music was pretty decent ... had a just-right number of drinks (and a flat wallet the only ;( thing of the day haha). Must admit the juniors did very well even if they were not able to meet the full target by 2230. Especially enjoyed it cos it was my first clubbing experience in God knows how long ... sheesh its been a nutty term. Photos'll be up soon!
One thing though ... my essays suck! Arghh! No worries though ... next one's gonna be damn ass bloody good till the teacher bleeds from her nose, ears and mouth in appreciation!!!! *Mwahahaha*
Anyhow have made a decision NOT to Barrel myself this year. Frankly my tummy's reaction after those few shots on Tuesday has made me very cautious when it comes to alcohol now (after me stomach infection). And the costumes lah ... are a bloody waste of money ... single use clothes and UGLY ones at that. Still ... hope you have (had) fun! ;p) and I wanna see your costume!
Just ONE WEEK left!!! ;p Have never wished more for the end of term!

The stranger sang a theme
From someone else’s dream
The leaves began to fall
And no one spoke at all
But I can’t seem to recall
When you came along

Ingenue

Ingenue
I just don’t know what to do
